On the comedy side, Modern Family has prevailed as an Emmy dominator once again. The series' trio Ty Burrell, Ed O'Neill and Jesse Tyler Ferguson have all been nominated in the category for Outstanding Supporting Actor. The show's female cast members Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara are up for the Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy award. The ABC comedy is in contention with Saturday Night Live. The long running sketch comedy is up for awards in several categories. Tina Fey an Alec Baldwin's 30 Rock round out the rest of the list of Emmy predicted winners. The series came to a close this past January but has not been forgotten with nominations in a handful of categories. Those also leading the pack include The Big Bang Theory, American Horror Story and Game of Thrones. The Primetime Emmy awards will air on Sunday night, Sept. 22 live on CBS at 8 p.m.
